Church Planting Philosophy

OUR CHURCH PLANTING MISSION IS TO GLORIFY GOD THROUGH EVANGELIZING THE LOST, EDIFYING THE SAINTS, AND EQUIPPING BELIEVERS FOR MINISTERING TO THE NEXT GENERATION.

We accomplish this mission by declaring the good news of the Gospel, discipling believers, teaching them to obey the commandments of the Word of God and to use their spiritual gifts to edify, exhort and comfort the body of Christ.

EVANGELIZE THE LOST – We reach out into the community by personally witnessing to our daily contacts. We encourage our church members to do the same and to invite their unsaved friends and family to Bible studies, church services, and special evangelistic outreaches.

EDIFY THE SAINTS – The first step for new believers is to engage them in one-on-one basic discipleship with another believer. Later, we invite them to participate in churchwide comprehensive discipleship classes that teach Christians how to study the Scriptures for themselves.

EQUIP BELIEVERS FOR MINISTERING TO THE NEXT GENERATION – We believe that training nationals to become leaders is vital to planting a church. This is accomplished through leadership classes taught by pastors, as well as encouraging men and women to attend classes at our Baptist Seminary of Colonia.

We teach the local church to support missionaries with finances, prayer and mission trips.

We believe that the church plant owning its own property with an adequate building allows a church to become self-sufficient.

As soon as a potential national pastor is identified, we seek to turn the leadership over to that qualified, trained man as soon as he and the church are prepared for the transition.
